Psalm 130 New International Version

A song of ascents.

Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
    Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
    to my cry for mercy.

If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
    Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
    from all their sins.

Special Prayer Requests

Our dear Eloise Rhodes passed away peacefully on November 30th. We do not have arrangements yet but will let you know as soon as information is available.

Dan and Joyce Mitchell have asked for specials prayers for the family of Timothy Williams. Timothy is the Mitchells nephew and passed away this week after a long illness.

It is never a good time to lose someone you love. Heaven is a sweeter place today with the addition of these two beloved souls. Take care of each other and especially the human in the mirror.

Blessings, Mary

Fire Devastates Eastside Community Assistance Food Pantry

We have been informed that Eastside Community Assistance has suffered a devastating fire in the food pantry section of their building. A full report of damages is pending; however, the fires leaves the Eastside community without a life-saving resource. Saint Matthew UMC is a founding member of this organization along with several other churches in the area. We have supported this ministry for over a decade and will continue in our support for as long as we are able.

Please consider adding additional support at this time if you are able: eastsidecommunityassistance.org

We will keep you updated with the progress of the recovery and with other ways to help the most vulnerable in our community.
